  • Training has started back for the U16 team at the pitch in Ballyroebuck on Wednesday nights at 7pm. The U16s have a match on Sunday morning next 7th  March at 11am at the Ballyroeck pitch. All support welcome.
  • Training for the other teams will start back soon, and parents will be notified by text.
  • U12s played in the new Castletown / Liam Mellowes indoor facility on Friday night last. 
  • Some of the Mentors and committee members are presently doing a course with the Irish Sports Council specifically dealing with the GAA  'Code of Behaviour for all Persons working with young children'.
  • If anyone has not registered please contact Maria O'Rourke immediately, as it is necessary for eveyone to be registered and fees paid to be covered by insurance.

 

Congratulations to the Intermediate Hurlers who are the new County Champions. See the GAA page for photos of the day in Wexford Park.

 

  • The Children in Ballyellis School were delighted to welcome some of the winning team to the school on Monday.

                

  • The U10s hurlers finished off their season in fine style when captain Liam Sheehan picked up the beautiful trophy at the Monageer Boolavogue Blitz. Congratulations to everyone on the team. Congratulations also to Maria O'Rourke and John Kirwan for the great job they have done with this team.

                

 

                  Intermediates and U10s display their trophies

  • Askamore Community Developement Ltd - a TAXI service will be available in the area on Fridays, starting Friday 12th. The taxi will carry up to 7 people and will travel to Gorey and back at a cost of €7 per person. Anyone interested in this service please contact Paul on 087 7516870 before Thursday evening.   

       

  •  Badminton Clubs in Askamore. Anyone wishing to play with the clubs should give their names to any committee member, or can register at Askamore Community Centre .
  •  Chillax - Teenagers, looking for something to do on a Wednesday and Friday nights?  Carnew Resource centre hosts a youth cafe from 8-9.30pm. Come along and say hello. now situated in the Carnew Resource Centre, Mill Lane.
